Jiri to Gokyo valley trek start with 7/8 hours (188km/117miles) drive to Jiri (1955m/6414feet).The route first used by the early expedition's team to climb Everest from the Nepalese side. Starting from Jiri, the route passes through the Sherpa and other villages of the Solu Khumbu, many of them having beautiful Buddhist monasteries. This trek passes through spectacular villages with exotic monasteries in Junbensi (2675m) and Thupten Chholing Gompa to Khartung which offers the first view of Everest (8848m) and host of other peaks like Thamserku (6608m.), Kangeta (6779m.) and Mera Peak (6654m.). There are interesting passes such as Lamjura pass (3530m), Taksindo pass (3071m) which gradual making it easier to acclimatize. The trail will train you because you hike every day up and down a lot.
The Namche Bazaar (3440m,) is the Sherpa capital of this area. The trail to Gokyo is a gradual ascent up the valley passes through the patches of birch and rhododendron forest where the indescribable musk deer can sometimes be seen. Through small yak-grazing settlements, we reach to Gokyo lakes. An excursion to the fourth and fifth lakes would be an extra attraction in Gokyo Valley. The Ngozumpa Glacier is the largest in the Nepal Himalayas. The Gokyo Ri (5330m/17487 feet) is considered as the best view point in the entire Everest Region. The incredible sceneries including magnificent views of Everest (8848m), Makalu (8463m), Cho Oyo (8201m),Lhotse (8516m) , Gyachung Kang (7922m), Kantega, Ama dablam and other mountains. Gokyo Ri (5330m,) provides a lifetime memory of panoramic views of the Everest and others Himalayan range. We then trek down by making our way back down to Lukla (2828m,). We take a flight of 30 minutes from Lukla to Kathmandu to end the trek.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Arrive in Trivuwan international airport in Kathmandu and transport to selected hotel and rest of the day personal activities.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing by professional tour guide. 
Day 03: Drive to Jiri by bus (1920m, 7/8 hours driving) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 04: Trek to Shivalaya (1767 m, 5/6 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 05: Trek to Bhandar (2000m, 6/7 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 06: Trek to Sete (2500m, 6/7 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 07: Trek to Junbesi (2675m, 6/7 hour’s walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 08: we go to visit Thuptan Chhuling which big monasteries for that area. The biggest lama Thusiringboche we may meet him. He will bless us and rest of day explore around junbesi village.
Day 09: Trek to Nunthala (2345m, 5/6 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 10: Trek to Kahrikhola (2194m, 5/6 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 11: Trek to Puyan (2890m, 6 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 12: Trek to Phakding (2935m, 6/7 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 13: Trek to Namche Bazar (3440m, 5/6 hours walking) and then over night at lodge. 
Day 14: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar and then overnight at same lodge
We can hike this day, the way up Syangboche, Everest View Hotel and Khumjung village. The Himalayas views including Thamserku, Mt.Everest (world highest peak), Mt. Lhotse, Konde, Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Tawoche are excellent from Everest view Hotel.
Day 15: trek to Dole (4200m 6/7 hours walking) and then overnight at the lodge. 
Day 16: trek to Machhermo (4430m 4/5 walking) and then overnight at the lodge. 
Day 17: trek to Gokyo (4700m 5/6 hours walking) and then overnight at the lodge. 
Day 18: climb up to Gokyo ri (5430m, 4 hours for going up and down) to see panorama view with best sun rise and come back same place and then overnight at lodge. 
Day 19: trek down to dole (4200m 6/7 hours walking) and then overnight at lodge. 
Day 20: trek down to Manjo (2930m 6/7 walking) and then overnight at lodge. 
Day 21: trek to Lukla (2828m, 6 hours walking) and then overnight at lodge. 
Day 22: Lukla to Kathmandu by flight (35 minutes) in the morning over night at selected hotel in Kathmandu. 
Day 23: Departure to international airport to fly your home country.
