Harka turned out to be a relaxed, caring and social guide
When my father and I met Harka it immidiately felt right. In the ten days that followed after our first meeting, Harka turned out to be a relaxed, caring and social guide with a lot of knowledge of Nepali nature, culture and people. But his good sence of humour and the willingness to adept the trekking to our needs and wishes, makes Harka a guide we will never forget.

Ganjala pass (5100m/16732feet) trek starts from Syabrubensi (1460m).For the adventure seekers Ganjala can be a best choice. Ganjala is a high pass that links langtang valley with Helambu. It is really a challenging trail.
After driving Kathmandu to SybruBensi, you will follow the Langtang River to the east until you get to Kyanching Gompa (3860m). The people are all Tamang, who is the ethnic group for this area. We can explore their culture and way of living. Â Kyanjing Gompa has small Buddhist monastery and a cheese factory started in 1955 by the Swiss Association for Technical Assistance. Naya Kanga (5,846m) ,Ponggen Dopku (5,930m), Mt Langtang Lirung (7245m ), Yala peak , Dorje Lakpa(6966m), Urkeinmang(6387m), Loenpo Gang (6979) and Kangchenpo views can be seen from this trek. When you are crossing the pass there are spectacular views of Langtang Lirung and the Tibetan peaks beyond. The highest point of this trek is Ganjala Pass (5,100m). On the pass of Ganjala, the last few 100m trails are precarious so we use a rope there for safety, though the utmost care is enough. The descent from the pass is on a steep slope for over 1 km, which requires good care again. But the rest of the trail is easy and comfortable. As there are no lodges and no settlements for three days along the way, the group should be well equipped with enough food. Only organized camping treks are possible for this region. The use of firewood is also prohibited within the park, so all supplies should be taken with us. Clients have to be physically fitness to do this adventure trek.
After passing the Ganjala Pass, the trail takes you to Tarke Ghyanga and Malemchi gaon. People here call themselves Sherpas. People here follow the Buddhist religion so you will find many old Buddhist monasteries in the villages. You then end your trek at Melamchi Pul Bazar. You drive back to Kathmandu.
